Di Carlo sacked by Chievo
Chievo have confirmed they have sacked coach Domenico Di Carlo and appointed Eugenio Corini as his replacement.
The Serie A side announced in a brief statement on Tuesday morning that they were dispensing with Di Carlo's services just 6 games into the new season.
Chievo lost 4-1 at fellow strugglers Palermo on Sunday to slip into the bottom 3.
The Flying Donkeys have lost their last 5 league games after starting the campaign with a victory.
Di Carlo, 48-year-old, returned for his second spell in charge of the Verona club in June last year - he first led them between 2008 and 2010 before less than a year in charge of Sampdoria - and guided them to a respectable 10th place finish last season.
His replacement, Corini, spent 5 years as a player with Chievo from 1998 to 2003.
This job is his first as a manager in the top flight after spells in charge of lower-league sides Portosummaga, Crotone and, most recently, Frosinone.
His first game will be at home to Sampdoria on Saturday.

Conte ban reduced by 6 months
Juventus head coach Antonio Conte will return to the touchline in December after having his lengthy suspension from football reduced by 6 months.
The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) suspended Conte for 10 months in August for his alleged failure to report two incidents of match-fixing while in charge of Siena during the 2010/2011 Serie B season.
A subsequent appeal to the Federal Court of Justice failed, but Conte's lawyers' move for acquittal by Italy's sporting arbitration court (TNAS) has resulted in a reduction of 6 months, allowing Conte to take charge of Juventus' Serie A game at Palermo on 9 December.
The terms of Conte's ban have allowed him to coach his players during the week, but prohibit any touchline activity, with Juve technical director Massimo Carrera forced to assume interim control of the Italian champions on matchdays.
In September, a FIFA committee extended Conte's suspension worldwide, denying him the chance to manage in Champions League.
The 43-year-old will therefore miss out on making his management debut in the competition this calendar year, as Juve's last group game against Shakhtar Donetsk takes place on 5 December.
Conte will also have missed 15 league games by the time he returns to the bench at Stadio Renzo Barbera in December.
This summer's wide-sweeping investigation into irregular betting patterns and incidents of match-fixing involved 45 people and 13 clubs in total.
Conte's former club Siena were handed a 6-point deduction while Lecce found themselves demoted to Lega Pro for their role in the Calcioscommesse scandal.
Yesterday, former Bari defender Andrea Masiello received a 22-month suspended sentence for admitting scoring a deliberate own goal in a relegation decider in exchange for payment.

AC Milan - Inter Milano preview
It is the first Derby della Madonnina of the season and in terms of importance for either side, the stakes could not be higher. The "San Zero" hoodoo may be over as both Milan clubs recently recorded victories against Cagliari and Fiorentina respectively, but the frustration felt by fans in recent weeks will pale in comparison to a defeat to their fiercest rival on Sunday.
Andrea Stramaccioni has already played down his side's chances of victory insisting that the Rossoneri are favorites, but whether he is just attempting mind games with under-fire coach Massimiliano Allegri is up for debate, having steered his side to third in Serie A with a 100% record away from home, while AC Milan lies in 11th position.
Both teams head into this fixture with morale-boosting victories in Europe as Milan saw off Russian champions Zenit Sankt Petersburg 3-2 in Champions League while Inter overcame Azerbaijani club Neftchi Baku 3-1 in Europa League on Thursday.
Dutch talisman Wesley Sneijder is a major doubt for Inter having sustained a thigh injury. Rodrigo Palacio, Dejan Stankovic and McDonald Mariga are also expected to miss out while there will be a late fitness test on defender Cristian Chivu, though Inter is unlikely to change from its back 3 which has served it well thus far.
Handanovic - Ranocchia, Samuel, Juan - Zanetti (C), Gargano, Guarin, Pereira, Nagatomo - Milito, Cassano
The Rossoneri are still likely to be without star Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato, which means Giampaolo Pazzini is in contention to start up-front with in-form Stephan El Shaarawy playing in behind the Italian. Defender Didac Vila and midfielders Sulley Muntari and Rodney Strasser are also unavailable.
Abbiati (C) - De Sciglio, Bonera, Zapata, Antonini - De Jong, Ambrosini - Nocerino, El Shaarawy, Emanuelson - Pazzini
AC Milan and Inter last shared the spoils 19 games ago, a record which stretches back to October 2004.
The Diavolo have the upper hand in derbies as in all competitions they have won 81 games to Inter's 76.
Inter had the bragging rights in the last 2 league clashes winning 4-2 in May as Diego Milito scored a hat-trick, (the first in a Milan derby since 1953) and a 1-0 victory before that with the Argentine again being the difference.

Juventus - Inter Milano preview
It was back in March when Claudio Ranieri received the bullet from Inter after losing to Juventus, and while Andrea Stramaccioni will not be under anywhere near pressure of that magnitude, there is no question that if the Nerazzurri harbor ambitions of winning the Scudetto, then they must get a result at Juventus Stadium on Saturday.
Stramaccioni men have turned a corner after a shaky start, and the 3-2 victory over Sampdoria midweek ensured an eighth straight win in all competitions for the Meazza outfit.
The hosts, meanwhile, continue to take Serie A by storm and if they avoid defeat against a much-improved Inter side, then they will make it 50 league games unbeaten, putting more pressure on AC Milan's 20-year record of 58 without losing.
Giorgio Chiellini, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Claudio Marchisio and Kwadwo Asamoah are all expected to be back in the starting line-up with Martin Caceres, Mauricio Isla, Emanuele Giaccherini and Paolo De Ceglie dropping to the bench.
However, less certain is whether or not coach Antonio Conte will continue to play Paul Pogba, who scored the last-minute winner against the Rossoblu on Wednesday, or sacrifice him for Arturo Vidal, whose form has been indifferent of late, though did score against Catania last Sunday.
The Juve tactician seems still unsure of his favored striking partnership and has the dilemma of deciding who to play up-front, with Sebastian Giovinco and Mirko Vucinic in contention for a start on Saturday. Nicklas Bendtner and Fabio Quagliarella, who led the line midweek, may have to be content with a place on the bench in the Derby d'Italia.
Inter, meanwhile, will revert to a 3-man defense after playing four at the back against Sampdoria. Matias Silvestre could make his 10th appearance of the season alongside Walter Samuel and Andrea Ranocchia. Gaby Mudingayi is expected to be replaced by Esteban Cambiasso.
Alvaro Pereira, who slotted in at right-back, will be replaced by Japanese star Yuto Nagatomo as the Nerazzurri are set to go five in midfield with Rodrigo Palacio, who played in a front 3 on Wednesday, dropping to the bench.
Juventus has made its best ever start to a season since Serie A became a 20-team league, beating Fabio Capello's 27-point record set in 2005-2006.
The Bianconeri's 2-1 victory over Bologna means they are now 49 games undefeated and are only 9 matches behind AC Milan's historic 58-game unbeaten run from 1991 to 1993.
Inter has not won in Turin against the Old Lady since January 2008. It last beat them 3-2 in the Coppa Italia with 2 goals from Mario Balotelli in 2008.
Saturday's clash is set to be coach Andrea Stramaccioni's first game against Juventus. His predecessor Claudio Ranieri was sacked after a defeat to the Bianconeri back in March.
Stramaccioni's Inter has won 8 consecutive games in all competitions this season. The record for most amount of victories in a row for the Nerazzurri is held by coach Roberto Mancini, whose side won 13 on the trot back in 2007-2008.

Pogba's agent slams "confused" Juventus
Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has been left out of the squad to face Pescara after reporting late for 2 training sessions. The 19-year-old has shown promise in Turin following his arrival from Manchester United.
He had been in contention for a starting place against Pescara before it was announced that he would not travel with the team.
The player's agent Mino Raiola has criticised the Serie A champions for deciding to publicise news of his client's indiscretions.
"Whoever decided to put this news out on the website is evidently confused", Raiola told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I hope it wasn't Conte's own decision, otherwise it means he is unable to deal with situations at this level."
"Paul is very disappointed with what happened, both for his lateness - despite good reasons - and for not being a part of the squad."
"In the first instance of lateness he was notified late at night."
"In the second he had some appointments - the club themselves had organised for him to go through some paperwork."
